Past relationships

Yesterday I promised you a Soap Opera.

Today you will wonder why I have never written my own book. My life is like a soap opera. So here we go.

I have been freinds with this woman for 28 years. Lived together off and on over the years, even after I had gotten married.

The difference between her and I was that she was a partier and slept around ALOT.. I preferred to be home and have a drink or two when I had company over. But by no means was I ever promiscuous in my younger years.

Well she and I got into a fist fight and I kicked her out, took her to court for assault. We separated for 2 years as friends.

I moved to a new location and saw her. Turned out that she was living just up the street from me. I happened to catch a glance of her getting off the bus, pregnant.

I finally contact her by letter and say Congrats on your pregnancy. From there it started.

She was not married, her boyfriend was a welfare bum. Did Djing on the side but not often.

He was a very strange guy and for the life of me, I could figure out the connection that she had with him.

So we kind of stayed away and communicated mostly by phone or letters.

Now, a year later she is coming over and the babies are playing, my child was born a year earlier. Things are going well and the kids get along great. She finally moved a little further from me and then here is came.. she called and said "I am getting married, will you be my Maid of Honor?"

Of course I said yes! This had to be one the dumbest things I EVER did. It turns out that the guys she was marrying had 5 kids by 3 other women. Btw.. he is not up to 7 kids by 5 women.

I tried to overlook all of it because she claimed she loved him. So I reluctantly agree to help her plan her wedding. My husband then, knew alot of people in the wedding industry, his brother owned a bakery and made the wedding cake, a friend owns a small hall.. let us have it for only $50. And I hired a friend of my brother in law to cater it. He only charged her $5 per person for a hot buffet.

Two weeks before the wedding, I ask, Umm I need you to pay me for the catering/hall and cake, as I paid for this all out of my own pocket"

NOW you can laugh.. what do you think her response was?

Ok thats it for now.. will post more tomorrow or maybe this evening.. it will have to be in parts because it is a LONG one.. laugh
