Poker Tournaments

Hi all, I am back again.. did you miss me?

Ok, so today I was in a Poker Tournament. Not a pay one or one that you win money in, this is a free Poker tournament that is run in bars 2-3 times a week. You have to play good to get into the big one like I was in today.

Now don't get me wrong, I am by no means boasting about my playing abilities because I will tell you, I am not that good.. But I WON my seat in todays Tournament by having my name pulled in a draw.

Doctors/Prescriptions

Today was a visit to the doctors office.

I have a new YOUNG doctor which is great. You see I have degenerative Osteo Arthritis in my knee. My regular doctor said "we will give you a cortisone shot and it will fix it right up for you"

What he failed to say is how bad cortisone is for you and that you are allowed only 3 shots in that area in a lifetime.. But I let him inject my knee. Had a good bruise where he injected it but wow, my knee was feeling much better....... for about 2 weeks!

Hotel Stay/Mini Vacation

We went down to Washington on a mini vacation, stayed in a nice hotel. Lost lots of money at the casino and did lots of shopping.

Now, there were a few issues I had with this hotel.

1: No room service
2: Terrible breakfast buffet
3: Shower head
