Friends #2

Ok so we left off at my asking her for money towards the hall, cake and catering.

So she says she has no money at that time, as it has gone into her dress.

Oh yeah, I forgot, I paid for her bouquet also. So my then husband and I are into this wedding of hers for a small chunk of change.

So we are a week away from her wedding. No money to be seen from her at all. I make a last ditched attempt and still nothing.

What do I do now? My husband says he has had enough, write the money off and not go to the wedding. So this is what we do.

I call her and tell her, your cake is paid for and will be ready by 9am for pickup. The Caterer will be there at the hall for 9am to setup.. It was a noon wedding and lunch buffet. Her Bouquest was being delivered to the hall for 11am.

As I am telling her all this she is getting snappy with me, expecting me to do all the running around. I then lay it out on the table for her the day before her wedding... I AM NOT GOING!

Now, she has no car so I expected her to call some of her other friends to help her or ever her parents, not knowing that he parents refused to go to the wedding.

She has been hung out to dry, she calls me the night before, begging me to please come and help her.

I put it as nicely as I could. "You made no attempt to pay me for anything I did. I have been running all over the place for you and all I get is slapped when I ask for some of the money. So now I know what our friendship means to you. As long as someone is paying for it all, your great friends, but as soon at they want money, you slap them. I am done! Sorry. Good luck with your wedding, enjoy the buffet and cake, as this is our wedding gift to you!"

She gets married, sends me a letter 2 weeks later.

It said that her wedding went great, and she thanked us for all we did and was sorry that it came to this. She wants to remain friends and she would like to pay us back but it would have to be little amounts here and there.

In other words, she KNEW she could not afford it and the jackle she was marrying could not afford it so she used me to pay for everything.

However, I did have the last laugh. The friend who we rented the hall from, he said he was giving us a good deal because we were hosting it and were in charge of the clean up. Which I told her that they had to do that and she said she would. Well they did not and out friend charged her $500 for the mess they left.

I was very happy to give him her phone number and address. He ended up taking her to small claims court and winning. I could not believe the mess they left the hall in. And needless to say, our friend said he would not blame up for what happened but he would not do it again without cleanup deposit.

So she is married, has 1 child with the goofball. Living on welfare in a cockroach ridden townhouse.

Lasted 7 years. When she found out I left my husband of 10 years, she decided that welfare and cockroaches were too much for her and left her husband..

Now take a wild guess at what happens next?

Stay tuned for part 3...
