Nutty Neighbours

Alright, so we have this neighbor that lives two doors down from us.

Last year, I had just gotten out of the hospital and was trying to deal with a migraine headache.

I kept hearing this gas motor going. I looked out and saw the neighbour using his gas leaf blower. I though, hmmm, ok I will leave him be.

Bad idea, it turned into 4 flippin hours he ran that thing for.


So, finally I had had enough, I got dressed and put my shoes and sweater on and walked over to him. When I got there, get this, he is blowing WATER out of a pot hole in his driveway.

So I said "Hi, I am your neighbour 2 doors down, how are you?"

He replied "Yeah, what do you want?"

I said " well, I just got out of the hospital today and I have been suffering from a migraine since I have been home. I just wanted to ask if you could give the blower a break for a little while so I can try and get rid of my headache?"

You will love this!

He replied " NO, I have to get rid of the leaves and I have to finish it."

I said " ok, but you can use a rake to pile them up and it would be much more quiet."

Now he is getting mad at me at this point.

He snarkily said " Look, I had surgery on my leg a few weeks ago and I am not going to rake them up."

Hmmm.. so I responded with " well I am asking you nicely to stop"

He laughed and bluntly said "no"

I looked at him, wanting to hit the guy in the mouth, but refrained and just said
"ok look, there are noise bylaws and if you do not stop I will call the bylaw enforcement officer on you. I am trying to be nice here but your not making it easy"

He angrily states "look lady, it is 4 in the afternoon, there is NO Bylaw that says I can not make noise and if I want to run my f-ing chainsaw in my backyard from morning until night, then I will and there is nothing you can do about it"

Ok, now I am REALLY mad.. I yelled at him "ok, listen up bud, the noise bylaw says ANY noise that impedes on my relaxing in my own home and that is what you are doing. So go ahead run it one more time and see what happens. I promise you, you will not be running it for long when I am done with you"

I stormed across the lawns and came back inside. I stood there, waiting, would he even DARE to start it up again? Ahhhhh.. nope.. all was silent.

I guess I scared him.. lol

Now, this is 7 months later and we have a new neighbour between us. We get along wonderfully with the newbies. But now they have this idiot to deal with.

The moron planted new grass seed, on the newbies side of the fence. So the new owner was standing on it, I mean it is on HIS side of the fence.

The guy comes out and says, "Hey man, your standing on my newly grown grass, can you get off of it please"

The newbie says " well actually, where I am standing is on my property, so I guess you planted your seeds on my lawn"

The idiot gets mad and made some rude comments.. Not sure what he said..

But the newbie says " ok, well you planted your seeds on my lawn, so you can get your grass out of my lawn"

I am sorry, I was about to bust my gut from laughing. I mean seriously, it is GRASS.. who cares? It was already all grown in and when I went there it was on the newbies side of the fence.. So of course, what do you think I did.. go ahead guess?

I walked over to the grass in dispute and like a dog, shuffled my feet like I was covering up my doodie.. It was sweet justice for me.

This summer will surely be interesting!
