Friends #4

So we were last on how to get rid of cockroaches.

Now up to this point, they are using all of my stuff and not paying rent. And get this, they like to play wrestle and both weigh over 300lbs. You can only imgine what they did to the panelling on the walls down there. One wall that devided the room from the laundery area almost came down from the two of them wrestling.

Time to send in the calvary. My boyfriend comes to the rescue, I hear yelling and thumping and then a door, hey wait a sec.. he took the door off the hinges.. I guess that was to stop them from slamming it all the time. Now what do I do?


I call the landlords, their response is "you invited them, YOU get them out".

I call the Landlord Tenant Act, "sure you can get a court order but then you have to wait, and it could take up to a year"

Are you kidding me? Live with these two morons for a year???

Well my boyfriend had finally had enough and said Adios Amiga, I am outta here. He could not take the nonsense anymore then I could. So off he went.

Hmm.. wait a tick.. I have an idea..

I will move too, if I just leave with the kids, the landlord will have no choice but to deal with them.

So I give notice, give them notice.. and start packing my things.

I moved 4 hours away.. and according to one of my friends who lived in the same complex, it took the landlord 3 months to get them out.

Now I ask you, could you live in a place with no heat or lights and no cooking, cold showers?

Well she did.

It did not end there.... My kids and I are scratching like crazy.. I mean furiously scratching to the point of drawing blood.

Go to doctor, he says you all have scabies... I almost fell over.. Not knowing how the heck we could get them, we never went anywhere.

Uh HUH!

Called the now ex friend, umm... "Hey, how are things? Can I ask you something"

She says "sure, whats up"

I ask "remenber when you and your boyfriend were complaining about being itchy?"

She replies "yes"

I ask " did you ever find out what that was and did you get rid of it?"

She replies in an evil tone "yes, it was scabies, we got it from a friends house."

I ask "you know that it is HIGHLY contagious right?"

She says "ummmm, yep"

Now at this point I am ready to jump through the phone and kill her.

I try to stay calm now.

I asked "you know I have small children and you knew it was contagious, is there a reason why you would not tell me so that I could protect my family from it?"

Now this is when I was about to jump in my car and pay her a visit.

She replies" because you and I were fighting so I really did not care to tell you"

OMG.. are you fricken kidding me... My kids and I are sitting in my new home with kwellada lotion all over us and confined to my home, having to sterilize all the bed sheets and spray all my furniture down with this Scabie Killing crap.

Now how is that for a peach of a human??? I ask you,,. ,would YOU remain friends with somelike this?

Well it has been 28 years that her and I have been friends, I have no idea, we have nothing in common anymore. I am married, own my home and my own business now.

She, well she lives in a basement apartment.. lol.. hey I just realized, she is back where she was 20 years ago. She has a new boyfriend who is a pothead and a theif and she has been with him for 3 years now. She claims they are getting married when she finalizes her divorce to the second one.. Oh yes she was married once before I met her.

So please, I am implore you all, KEEP me from making the same mistake again.. I WILL NOT help her with this wedding no matter what? I will rely on all of you to make sure of it ok.. I must not slip back..
