When I first started on Facebook about 6 years ago, none of my family was on it. Now they are all one it, even the ones I do not want to see.
Now what happens is that you get a friend request from a family member, lets say one that you have not spoken to in 15 years ok. You feel obligated to add them out of guilt and curiosity.
What happens, they see something that you did not want them to and it goes beyond Facebook and runs like a bad virus through the entire family.
Oh yeah, now you are going to be hearing about this for months on end.
So why bother even adding them?
I made the mistake of adding a long lost brother who was lost for good reason. But my mother kept saying "he has changed, you have to forgive him, he goes to church now, trust me".
What did he do, after adding him, he took all my friends and added them to his FB account including my kids. Then he started spying on all of us and telling my mom everything we did which in turn caused a huge fight in the family.
Lesson learned, deleted him off of my FB and told all my friends to be very careful when dealing with him.
You see, he is a crack head and an alcoholic. He is a seasoned liar and a master manipulator. It was for good reason why I removed him from my life 15 years ago and now my entire family is in a state of chaos over all of it since he came back.
So, if you have a long lost family member, they come back into your life, really think hard before adding them. A chameleon can change its color with the setting it is in, but the inside of it remains the same.
Thats my rant for today!
